Hilary Lifts Parker Bowl 01.05.08
The torrential rain in the afternoon didn't dampen their enthusiasm as was reflected in the good scores and some real battles for the prizes. Once again, some faniliar faces were in the winners enclosure.
Hilary Johnston fought off the competition with a great score of 41 Points with Second going to Kathleen McCann with 38 Points.
Third Place was very tight with eight ladies all on 37 Points. This went to the count back with Maura McCreesh just squeezing past to take Third Place.
Category winners were A: Bernie Rice beating Kay Loye 37 Pts, B- Rennee Calvert 37 Pts, C- Brenda Grant beating Barbara Devlin 37 Pts, D-Joan Lappin beating T Burke 35 Pts.

Back Nine-Barbara Jenkins 19 Pts
Par Ladies 18 - Marie Wilson 36 Pts.
Arnold Courtney was delighted to present the Parker Bowl to Hilary Johnston and congratulated all the winners. Mr Courtney also commended the Ladies on what appears to be a very vibrant Ladies Section and on the teams that are doing well. He wished the Ladies success and good weather for the rest of the season.
Vice Captain Flo McCall thanked Mr Courtney for his kind words and very generous sponsorship for this competition.
